Worth metroplex area Arlington is located in the northeastern part of the state served by Interstate 20 and 30 - approximately 12 miles east of Fort Worth and 20 miles west of Dallas. The University of Texas campus is at Arlington and is the third largest institution of the University of Texas System with a current enrollment of over 24,000 students.
