Located half-way between Houston and Austin on US 290, Brenham is home to more than 120 historic sites and markers - many from the Texas Revolution era. In the spring (Mar-Apr) the rolling fields and roads abound with colorful wild flowers including Bluebonnets and Indian Paint Brushes. Blinn College is located in Brenham as is the famous Blue Bell Creamery. Brenham's historic downtown offers a variety of shopping and has been named a 'National Main Street City'.
