BIG BEND STATE PARKS Southwest Region
Big Bend Texas State Parks [ View cities in this region ]

Texas State Parks offer a wide variety of activities including hiking, camping, boating - even rock climbing. There are entry fees for adults and children more than 13 years of age. In some cases fees are also associated with camping and dining facilities. Telephone numbers are posted next to each park for convenience. Texas State Parklands Passport offers free state park entrance to everyone who reached age 65 before September 1, 1995 and to veterans with a disability equal to or greater than 60%. If you turned 65 after September 1, 1995, you qualify for discounted entry fees with nonresidents paying the regular prices if their 65th birthday occurred after September 1, 1995. Some Parks may be run by outside parties or the Texas State Historical Commission.
